Trolls: Original Motion Movie Soundtrack is the soundtrack album to the 2016 DreamWorks Animation film Trolls, released on September 23, 2016 past RCA Records. The soundtrack is produced primarily by singer Justin Timberlake, Max Martin, and Shellback. It features work from Timberlake himself, along with Anna Kendrick, Ron Funches, Zooey Deschanel and Gwen Stefani, who all voice characters in the picture, equally well as World, Current of air & Burn down and Ariana Grande.[i] The album was certified Platinum in Australia and Double Platinum in the United States. The vocal "Can't Stop the Feeling!" was nominated for an University Accolade and won a Grammy Award.

After being appear equally the voice to the atomic number 82 character in the musical comedy Trolls reverse Anna Kendrick,[2] Billboard reported that Justin Timberlake as well signed on to write and perform original music for the film.[3] Timberlake said in an interview:

It kind of all happened at the aforementioned time. I've been friends with the Katzenbergs for years, and Jeffrey had e'er spoken to me virtually doing a DreamWorks Animation pic. I believe his line was, "We can't let Elton have all the fun," and I've ever said, "If the right thing comes up, permit'southward do it." … The directors brought me to the DreamWorks campus and pitched me the movie and the graphic symbol. And when I came out of the room Jeffrey was there, and he said, "And there'southward this other affair you could do…"[4]

By the fourth dimension Timberlake joined the project, there was still some original music needed to be written for the flick. Timberlake planned to encompass the disco genre amidst the variety of pop songs present in the film.[iv] For the soundtrack album, Earth, Wind & Burn down re-recorded "September" with Timberlake and Kendrick.[5]

The soundtrack peaked at number one on the ARIA Charts,[6] three on the Us Billboard 200 album chart, 4 on the New Zealand Albums Chart,[7] and four on the Britain Albums Chart.[8] It received Platinum certifications by the Recording Industry Association of America[ix] and the Australian Recording Industry Association,[10] and a Gilded certification by the British Phonographic Industry.[11] In the United States, information technology has sold 573,000 copies by April 2017,[12] and was the twelvemonth's tenth highest selling album in the state with 522,000 sold throughout 2017.[thirteen]

The atomic number 82 single, "Tin can't Stop the Feeling!" performed by Justin Timberlake, was released on May vi, 2016, and reached number 1 on the official charts of 17 countries, including the US Billboard Hot 100.[14]

At the ceremony, "Can't Stop the Feeling!" won Best Vocal Written for an Animated Flick.[18] The album was nominated at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards for Tiptop Soundtrack/Cast Anthology[nineteen] and at the American Music Awards for Tiptop Soundtrack.[20]

"Tin't End the Feeling!" won the Grammy Laurels for Best Song Written for Visual Media,[21] and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song.[22] Timberlake received the Hollywood Song Award for "Can't Finish the Feeling!" at the 2016 Hollywood Flick Awards.[23] It was also nominated for the Golden Earth Award for All-time Original Song,[24] Critics' Selection Honour for Best Song,[25] and Satellite Award for Best Original Song.[26]
